Q:
Is Wireless CNC Communications Secure?

A:
Yes, in most cases wireless DNC-CNC systems are secure. Most of the systems use standard 802.11 security standards (ie. WEP, WPA and WPA2), the same technologies you would see in your off the shelf wireless devices used in home and commercial installations. You may also use MAC address filtering. Ultimately you should isolate the wireless network from the corporate LAN, this can be achieved in several ways such as setting up a VLAN (virtual LAN) or multi-honing the system. This one of the services we offer.
